A little less than 80 km from Palermo, Caltavuturo can be reached by a winding road that climbs the hills to an altitude of 630 metres.
Caltavuturo finds in the valley of the great river, the northern Himera, the historical, urban, environmental and landscape context within which it sinks its roots and its identity.
In Caltavuturo there are: the archaeological areas of Monte Riparato, Terra Vecchia and Pagliuzza, the Churches, the site of the Mannari, the free climbing routes, the geological path of the Rocca di Sciara, the Gazzara Gorge, the civic museum "Don Giuseppe Guarnieri".
