Visitor Centers
The Qui Parco (Park here) points located in the municipalities of the Madonie offer visitors information on nature trails, architectural emergencies, archaeological and prehistoric sites, artefacts of historical, architectural, ethno-anthropological interest, and geological emergencies in the Park area. The indications are also present on the Madonie trails and landscape map.
Upon reservation, free guided tours are organised for schools, in the sites of greatest naturalistic interest.
On request, detailed programmes can be developed for tourist-recreational-sports activities for groups of visitors in the Park Municipalities.
Inside the Parco qui points, there is also the sale of publications and gadgets made by the Park Authority.
The Museums represent the history of the local communities. They give evidence to a world that through the centuries describes the signs left by men to preserve and protect the protected environment.
Findings, fossils, archaeology, natural assets, are thus presented in a multi-layered reality, documenting and disseminating history and popular traditions to the traveller who is about to visit the museum site as a place of memory. In them, material culture, with urban artefacts, objects and utensils of daily use and production activities, become the expression of all the visible and concrete aspects of this area, also through the relocation of art objects and artistic phenomena within a homogeneous cultural fabric.
