The Madonie Park promotes work-related learning to promote training experiences in the environmental sector and to guide students' aspirations
The Madonie Park Authority, within the activity of promotion of the sustainable and long-term development strategy, urges a change in frame of mind and style of life and consumption, whose foundations can be found in environmental education.
Madonie Park, European & Unesco Global Geopark,
enhances the geological, natural, and cultural heritage for environmental education and sustainable development
The most relevant actions that have been implemented by Madonie Park Authority in the latest years have involved territorial animation through the organization of programs of visit, and information, training, and Environmental Education activities dedicated to the Geopark. Activities that all the Geoparks of the "European Geoparks Network" (www.europeangeoparks.org) constantly enhance and celebrate every year, between the third decade of May and the first of June, during the European Geoparks Week, to enhance and promote the correct use of the geological heritage by the residents. These activities are particularly important because they can wisely combine geological, natural, and cultural heritage in order to better enjoy the "genius loci" of every context or site.
