Alta Via no. 2 crosses the Graian Alps of Valle d'Aosta and the protected areas of Mont Avic and Gran Paradiso. The stretch involving Mont Avic Park leaves from Champorcher (loc. Chardonney), reaches Dondena and Miserin Mountain Huts, and then continues in the valley of Cogne, beyond Colle Fenêtre de Champorcher. The Park Authority, in collaboration with the regional administration, has entirely equipped it as trail with electronic guide (see the section "Guided Trails").
