Via Alpina is an officially recognized mountaineering itinerary connecting the eight towns which signed the Alpine Convention for the enhancement of the alpine chain as main European natural space and main tourist destination in Europe.
Mont Avic Park is crossed by the blue itinerary of Via Alpina, which leaves from Alpi Marittime and leads to Val d'Ossola. The itinerary is accessible from Val d'Ayas towards Cogne or vice-versa and touches all the local mountain huts. The stretch involving the protected area is about 19km long and gives the opportunity to admire ten alpine lakes.
