Environmental Education
The main issue considered by the environmental education activities is the nature of the territory: not a wide and "wild" area, but a little tip of territory rich in considerable naturalistic and environmental aspects. The planning of the cultivated areas in perfect balance with the maquis, the little woods, and the hedges is an important value to preserve and spread. As a matter of fact, besides the cliff, the Park offers the heritage of a traditional agricultural landscape rich in farmhouses, olive groves, vineyards, fruit trees, and country roads often shaded by big oaks.
The project of Environmental Education activities derived from the need to increase the quality of the offer. On the programme there are the creation of Visitor Centers able to provide information and the opening of paths completed with didactic panels. The Environmental Education activities are carried out in collaboration with the CEA of the Pesaro and Urbino Provincial Administration, which offers to schools the programmes, the class didactics, and the guided visits, all free of charge. Moreover, it has been made an agreement with the WWF to increase the educational offer. At the moment, it is possible to have simple knowledge packages consisting in lessons in the classroom and in some lessons in the field, whose itinerary can be programmed together with the teachers. Schools outside the Province have also been involved.
