Environmental Education Activities 2023

Environmental education means actively transmitting knowledge, respect, and love for nature, leading to personal and deep reflections, orienting persons towards behaviors and lifestyles in harmony with environment and nature.
The Park Authority organizes always new and efficient environmental education programmes for schools within the three sides of the territory, Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, to communicate them the beauty of nature, the value of the Park and the different environmental themes.
A specialized group of educators and tour guides carries out environmental education programmes on behalf of the Park, developing guidelines designed by CEA and PNALM.

On the occasion of the Park's centenary, the theme proposed and chosed by the School Managers and reference teachers for the current school year is a reflection on the importance of the protected area and the sense of belonging to this territory.

• "100 Anni di Natura Protetta (100 Years of Protected Nature)"
  The project aims at improving knowledge of the nature reality in which people have always lived together with bears, wolves, deer, etc.
  It is aimed also at understanding that to protect and preserve animals, plants, water, air, means to protect and preserve ourselves.
  The naturalistic, landscape and archaeological analogies and/or differences of the Park four sections will be investigated, and how the people living here perceive both yesterday and today their life within a protected area. The topics covered will be divided up for the different sectors to arrive at a common synthesis.
