The time of the wolf is an ancient expression that refers to the transition period between sunset and night and between night and dawn, when the sky takes on a dark blue hue and the world seems to be enveloped in a mysterious and silent atmosphere. This moment has often been associated with the arrival of wolves, who come out of their shelter to hunt and look for food. Winter, spring and late summer are excellent times of the year to get to know and try to spot wolves, fascinating and elusive predators. In winter the pack is reunited to best spend the difficult season and it is easier to find tracks and signs of their presence on the snowy ground, the birth of the cubs of herbivores in spring and the vulnerability of the deer in love in the late summer improve the possibilities of hunting and therefore the probability of spotting them. Ancient legends tell that man's paths follow those of wolves: what is certain is that we very often see their footprints on our paths. We will walk on these paths and in the most favorable hours of the morning twilight and we will attempt to spot them with a naturalistic observation session in their natural environment among the mountains, with the help of binoculars and the professional equipment of the guide.
