Hospitality in Gargano is made of many different things: the spontaneous generosity of its inhabitants, the authentic and strong colors of the landscape, the blinding white of the roads and the houses and, of course, the tastes of the fine cuisine. Our itinerary by bike starts with a visit to a masseria where food seems not to have lost the taste and perfume of ancient times. Surrounded by the charm of the silver hills of Vieste countryside, an ancient olive press preserves its treasure, fruit of the olive-growing tradition, the most authentic expression of the Mediterranean diet culture: extra-virgin olive oil. From the countryside to the sea, the distance is short: the itinerary will make you discover "trabucco", a pile-dwelling building used for fishing.
