On the eastern shore of Varano Lake, you will find the isolated SS Annunziata Church. The sacred building preserves the precious Varano Crucifix, a 14th century polychrome wooden statue that has been worshiped for centuries by the inhabitants of Ischitella and the surrounding Municipalities. This place does not only mean religiousness and popular traditions, but it is also a wonderful outpost facing Varano Lake, whose shores are scattered with centuries-old olive trees and ancient farmsteads. In this oasis of peace, the still intact nature and the wonderful panoramas involve all your senses in a crescendo of emotions culminating in the golden light of unforgettable sunsets.
