There are several groups of rural buildings in Gargano National Park. The ones situated in the countryside of Manfredonia, built almost all between the second half of the 18th century and the 19th century, are different for aspect and structure, for the various social levels of the owners, and for the variety of the environmental situations.
Our tour will lead you to visit the most characteristic local "masserie", to the piedmont and mountain area of Manfredonia countryside.
Sheep breeding is an important local resource, with the ancient custom places and the transhumance trails. At the end of the tour, our tour guides will lead you in one of these masserie, to observe sheep and cow milking and the processing of local cheese and mozzarella. On demand, breakfast or lunch in the masseria.
