The itinerary leaves from Castelluccio, one of the highest towns in the Apennines, and develops in the fascinating setting of the karst basin formed by Piano Grande, Pian Piccolo, and Piano Perduto, situated at about 1,300m of altitude and surrounded by mountains from which the imposing "Coste del Vettore" stand out and climb, suddenly, from Pian Grande up to Cresta del Redentore (2,449m).
