Didactic Proposals 2013/2014
The Sila National Park knows that a good environmental policy in the management of the protected area needs three fundamental elements, three prerequisites: knowledge, awareness, ability.
That environmental awareness is very low is now clear to everyone, therefore it is necessary a good environmental education for the new generation. We strongly believe that this lack is often cause of the little sensibility toward our wonderful and fragile ecosystems, and we also believe that environmental education should aim to become part and parcel of school education at any grade. Our commitment is to try to compensate for a still low knowledge of both ecological dynamics and extraordinary peculiarities of our territory, as well as its environmental problems. The environmental education activities aim at studying the most significant historical and social themes of our time, in particular considering Sila's territory. As far as the new didactic proposals are concerned, also school programs have been considered in order to create a connection between the topics which have been already studied and the proposed activities.
