The gentle cultivated slopes of the Langhe of Piana Crixia, which are situated in the small homonymous regional park, are sometimes roughly interrupted by gullies, charming erosive forms that are common in the nearby Langhe of Piedmont but which are unique in Liguria, almost sand and clay waves where pioneer vegetation seems floating. The park's symbol is the spectacular and giant stone mushroom. The natural monument is made up of an ophiolitic boulder supported by a detritus column which has been shaped by the erosion of superficial waters.
