Parco Regionale dello Stirone e del Piacenziano

In Vezzolacca, country hamlet of Vernasca, all farmers cultivate potatoes with traditional methods. The production comes to about 600 quintals per year and the most widespread varieties are the Kennebek (oval shape, pale skin, and yellow pulp), the Desirée (red skin, yellow and firm pulp), and the Spunta (pale yellow skin with cream-color pulp).
