The wonderful fruit chestnut trees of the Apennines are used above all in the production of sweet flour.
The long process used to obtain this flour gives the opportunity to prepare several tasty recipes characteristic of our mountains, among which the fried chestnut cake, the so-called necci, pancakes, roasted chestnuts, and many other desserts. Such a rich gastronomy demonstrates that chestnuts can be used in many ways: they are a sound and tasty fruit that has finally come back to our tables.
