The Poranceto Forest Museum is located in the middle of a large and picturesque chestnut grove. It is one of the park's visitor centers, providing information on the forest ecosystem and on the area's traditional chestnut growing and harvest activities. The museum is also frequently used for seminars, conferences and cultural events. The surrounding chestnut forest is home to a number of majestic centuries-old trees with large, hollowed out trunks and the undergrowth is dominated by the tall fronds of the eagle fern.
