Everything flows together with the river, everything is transformed like the water of river Taro. The Park is the ideal place for schools and teachers interested in discovering the river ecosystem and its inhabitants, the river dynamics and its special "guests" like birds and butterflies.
But the Park offers much more: it is the perfect laboratory to assess the effects of climate change, to understand that our environment must be treated with respect and to discover some close natural spaces and a unique landscape, shaped by history, culture and agriculture.
Coming down from the top, glacial lakes, peat bogs an beech-woods marked by the wind give way to pastures and ancient hamlets: the Cento Laghi are the green heart of the Apennines and the memory of its inhabitants. The Park is the ideal place for schools and teachers who are willing to discover the lanscapes' different forms, the geology, the art and culture that lurk in the Apennine hamlets, the biology and the symbolic strength of the wolf and of the fantastic characters living in the woods.
But the Park offers much more: it is the laboratory where you could assess the effects of climate change and where you could understand that soil is life and must be treated with respect, that some near natural landscapes need our care and that history and culture have shaped (not without contradictions) a unique landscape!
