Environmental Education Proposals

Since its birth, the Ticino Park has committed itself on various level and on several fronts to spread a culture capable of changing some unsuitable behaviours to face the existing environmental emergencies.

Environmental and sustainability education plays actually an important role in conveying skills and values for changing attitudes and represents a potential strategy for the prevention of future problems. Although changes derive from individual attitudes, it is evident that only a communion of intent could have a significant impact on the improvement of both local and global environmental conditions.

The Ticino Park aims at promoting, helping and participating in all those initiatives and environmental as well as sustainability education projects through which the study of the territory is combined with its interpretation and with the elaboration of possible and real solution measures. All the educational, didactic and cognitive activities proposed by the Ticino Park are assessed and certified, as one of our goals is to grant the highest quality and competence for the intended users: students and teachers. To this aim, in order to make this commitment even more real, the Ticino Park is proud to announce that from 2014 to 2018 it has obtained the UNI EN ISO 9001-2008 Quality Certification for its Environmental Education activities dedicated to schools.
