It is a particularly protected wood, to the extent that it represents one of the few Special Nature Reserves of Ticino Park.
In Bosco Vedro there are several projects carried out by the Park with the collaboration of some Universities. In particular, there are the enclosures for the reproduction of otters, the ringing center for birds (which can be visited) and wetlands where freshwater crayfishes and turtles will be reintroduced.
