Visiting the Nature Reserve
The Nature Reserve has its own trail network, connected with the rich CAI trail network.
If you come from Sansepolcro you can head for Montagna, where CAI trail no. 6 leading to Spinella leaves, or follow the road to Germagnano. From here you can also reach Spinella and Pian della Capanna and choose one of the trails leading to the ridge (CAI Trails no. 8 and 8a).
Accommodation
The Nature Reserve offers various accommodation structures belonging to the agricultural and forest heritage of Regione Toscana that have been recently renovated by the Mountain Community: there is a holiday farm in Germagnano, a Holiday House in Spinella, welcoming scout groups, a mountain hut in Monterano, a mountain hut in Pian della Capanna, for which a functional recovery is scheduled, and a hostel in loc. Piscina Nera, not far from the border of the protected area. Moreover, the recovery of a building in Case Risecco is also scheduled, to use as a open mountain hut. Always nearby the Nature Reserve, there are some holiday farms in Montelabreve (Municipality of Badia Tedalda) and near Sansepolcro (loc. Basilica, Paradiso, and Cignano), as well as a holiday house in loc. Montagna and a hostel near Montecasale Monastery. Besides the several opportunities you can find in Sansepolcro, the nearest hotel structures are situated at Viamaggio Pass (Municipality of Pieve S. Stefano) and in Badia Tedalda, both in the town center and in loc. Rofelle.
