Itineraries in the Nature Reserve

The Nature Reserve is crossed by GEA (Grande Escursione Appenninica), corresponding here with CAI trail no. 2 connecting Viamaggio Pass with Pieve S. Stefano. Moreover, a trail on the ridge of Montalto will be available soon. Given the particular value of the wood and the fragility of the ecosystem, the visit to the Nature Reserve is allowed only together with the Official Tour Guides of the Nature Reserves, with the surveillance staff, or with authorized staff. Therefore, it is necessary to contact the Tour Guides, the Province of Arezzo, or the Mountain Community in advance.
