Within the protected area there is a nature trail equipped with showcases and panels giving the opportunity to (authorized) citizens to carry out self-guided visits along an easy ring-route. Guided tours led by qualified staff are carried out for organized groups and groups of students. In the historical town center of Meldola a Visitor Center will be available soon; it will be housed by Chiesa del Sasso, a 17th century deconsecrated building.
The recovery of the building and the preparation of the center are scheduled for 2001. Temporarily, the basement premises of Palazzo Doria Pamphili (near the Town Hall) are used as a Naturalistic Information Center and didactic lab: here exhibits, audiovisual projections, and environmental education activities take place. In the administrative offices of the protected area (Meldola Town Hall) you can collect information on the exhibits, the conferences, and the meetings dealing with nature and environment, on the ongoing projects of study, research, and monitoring, on the protected areas of Emilia-Romagna and of the geographical territory of Romagna, on the environmental education structures operating in the territory.
Moreover, it is possible to consult an environmental database, naturalistic books and magazines, require advice for theses, researches, and studies, and assistance for school educational projects, animation and environmental education activities for groups.
