Activities in the Marine Protected Area
Online Authorisations
On the website autorizzazionionline.ampisoleegadi.it non-residents can request authorisations for anchoring, sport fishing, mooring and navigation activities within the Marine Protected Area. To submit the request, you just need to register on the site, providing your personal data and a valid e-mail address, and then execute the order by logging in using the credentials that will be provided with an e-mail message. Payment is made on the PayPal circuit, with any credit or prepaid card: just click on the "I do not have a PayPal account" link when opening the payment page. With the online authorisation service, the Marine Protected Area aims at releasing users from the need to necessarily go to the offices to issue authorisations for permitted activities. Modern technologies actually allow for online issuance even with smartphones or tablets, and you won't need to print out the authorisation sent by e-mail. Simply keep it on your device and show it when the authorities check it. Of course, the procedure for issuing online authorisations at the Egadi Islands Marine Protected Area implies full awareness of the user of the fines established for any violations.
Buoy Fields
Since 2011, the Egadi Islands Marine Protected Area has set up buoy fields for recreational boating in some of the most beautiful and popular bays on the three islands, in the waters taken over by the managing body.
A mooring service is provided from June to September (buoys are set in winter) to protect the largest and best-preserved Posidonia oceanica meadow in the Mediterranean Sea.
Today, 14 buoy fields with a total of 150 buoys have been installed and completed.

Mooring authorisations are issued by the Managing body on a daily, weekly and monthly basis: - at its Offices and through the dedicated website (autorizzazionionline.ampisoleegadi.it); - at the buoy fields, through the staff appointed by the Managing body, with a surcharge for the secretarial fees established in Article 15 of the current specifications.
