The publication describes one the most important aspects of Sasso Malascarpa Nature Reserve: the so-called Chiroptera, that is the bat populations living in this particular territory, situated between the provinces of Lecco and Como, between the basins of Lambro and Adda.
The Reserve has been included in the list of the SCI (Sites of Community Importance), and belongs to Natura 2000 European Network.
Besides a brief territorial outline, the folder describes the species living in the area, and above all the measures implemented by ERSAF for the safeguard of bats - among the "species of Community interest" and therefore worth of safeguard because endangered - as well as the rocky areas, the sub-mountain grasslands, and other environments that can be found in this small but precious territory.
