Riserva Regionale Zompo Lo Schioppo

The "Ecomuseum" is a multipurpose structure containing both a territorial museum aimed at promoting the naturalistic and historical-anthropological local aspects and a visitor center equipped with spaces dedicated to didactics and research, able to sensitize the public to the knowledge and the respect of the environmental resources.
An exhibit route experimenting new and more communicative ways in the field of museum didactics, perfectly suitable for a visit with a participatory and aware approach. The route is completed by two labs with the reconstruction of the environments through terraria and aquaria-terraria.

• the herpetology of the Reserve and the relationship between man and snakes, through the direct observation of living snakes in a terrarium and the museum snake collection;
• the freshwater environment;
• the amphibians of the Reserve;
• the world of bees directly observed in a didactic beehive.

It is possible to learn more about the scientific observations in the hall housing the didactic lab where, through adequate equipment (microscopes, magnifying lenses, an experimental aquarium, presses, analytical kits, etc.) you pass to a more active stage directly involving the students in the preparation and observation of the finds.
