The possibility to move by public means of transport within the Park is partly limited, but it is also true that the offer is exploited not as much as possible. Above all during the summer, most visitors prefer to move by their own means of transport.
We hope to solve this problem with the "Alpentäler Bus" project by Samuel Bernhard.
Since the timetable change on December 11th, 2005 the service has been broadened thanks to this project dedicated to the alpine buses.
From June 17th to October 22nd, 2006 and in the summer/autumn 2007, the already existing bus lines to Fiesch-Ernen-Binn between Binn-Imfeld-Brunnenbiel and Binn-Heiligkreuz were integrated by the alpine buses.
In case of need, it is also possible to have a bus on demand. They can be required at least two hours in advance, or the day before within 6.00 p.m., calling the number 027 927 76 30 (railway station in loc. Fiesch).
The increase in the bus offer has been immediately appreciated. The bus line Binn – Fäld – Brunnebiel has been used by several visitors. In the warm July 2006, the demand was particularly strong. Often the service of bus on demand was used.
The less required bus line (on demand) was the Binn – Heiligkreuz bus line.
At the moment, and for the autumn/summer 2007, no changes in itineraries and timetables are scheduled, in order to have enough data to carry out a careful analysis. Only the cost of the ticket (for the bus on demand) could be slightly changed.
