Underwater activities inside the AMP Torre del Cerrano are allowed only to authorized personnel.
It is possible to dive with the expert Cerrano Guides, trained and authorized directly by the Torre del Cerrano Marine Protected Area for monitoring activities.
Many are the activities organized by the Marine Protected Area already involving Cerrano Tour Guides, like the Guided Visits to the Tower or to Pineto Center, or activities by sea like snorkeling. However, there will be more and more activities that the Tour Guides will promote in the area of Atri-Cerrano, site that, for its uniqueness, from Calanchi di Atri Reserve to the sea, is a candidate to the recognition and protection of UNESCO.
The guided visits will offer a great range of activities going from the guided route inside the Spanish fortress of the Tower to the walk across the historical pinewood to observe and recognize the floristic and wildlife species living in the Park; from tours on horseback or by mountain bike along the trail crossing the botanic garden to the underwater activities exploring the charming seabed where you can admire the still intact archaeological finds of the ancient port of Hadria.

Cerrano Tour GuidesThe beach resorts of Pineto and Silvi constitute a fundamental reality for the economic system of the province of Teramo, a real excellence of the tourist-environmental offer of the Abruzzo coast.
The beach resorts, which with their peculiarities deriving from over one hundred years of history are unique in the European panorama, in most cases are family-run structures with a strong tradition behind them, small individual businesses or partnerships that offer the beach services, small restaurants and entertainment; these companies have developed over the past century through the initiatives and sacrifices of small families, which have gradually and constantly transformed their structures to bring them to levels of great quality and strong appeal for national and international tourism.
Today, many resorts have joined the environmental characterization process, an initiative conceived by the AMP Torre del Cerrano, (primarily it was the subject of a law proposal by President Benigno D'Orazio), an important application of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.
How do they present themselves and what do they offer? The resorts that have joined the environmental characterization process must use less impactful means for cleaning and differentiated disposal of waste, including those coming from the sea, and ensure specific forms of protection of dune areas and pine forests as well as protected animal and plant species. They also must plan for restructuring of the existing heritage using bio-building and energy recovery systems and start environmental education courses for tourists. Not only that, the "sustainable" establishments enhance the typical products of the parks, such as those from organic and zero-kilometer agriculture, but also legal and artisanal fishing. New for summer 2014 is the "Lido amico del Parco marino" project, which will be implemented in collaboration with the Guides of Cerrano. It provides all-round environmental education lessons, carried out directly on the beaches, with practical demonstrations and educational games for the little ones.
Sailing, hiking, bird watching, diving, and sports fishing. There are many activities you can practice and try out once you are in the territory of the Marine Protected Area, provided you practice them together with the tour guides or the associations of experts working in the territory, respecting the environment.
