The protected area of local interest (A.N.P.I.L) called "Bosco di Sargiano" is situated on the hill of Olmo, a few kilometers from the town center of Arezzo, towards the south. Next to Sargiano wood there is the ancient Franciscan Monastery. The religious complex, surrounded by terraced agricultural lands scattered with dry-stone walls and thick forest covers, is very important at a local level for its landscape and historical features. The area adjacent Sargiano Monastery is characterized by the presence of a forest cover dominated by sessile oaks.
