This lap develps along the strip of plain at the foot of Colline Torinesi, between the river Po and Canale Cimena.
Despite it crosses two towns along the river Po that had in the second half of the 20th century a chaotic industrial and building development, the itinerary crosses a territory still characterized by vast natural spaces between the river and the hills. The thread of the itinerary is Canale Cimena: built in the 20th century for hydroelectic purposes, Cimena leaves from San Mauro and crosses the territories of Castiglione, Gassino, and San Raffaele Cimena, to end near Chivasso.
Before flowing into the big river, Cimena supplies an electric power plant built under the hill between San Raffaele and Castagneto Po.
