Parco Adda Nord

The towpath running along river Adda in the territory of Adda Nord Park extends from Lecco to Truccazzano and is entirely accessible on foot and by bike.
Walking or cycling along the river, or the Navigli running along it in some stretches, you can enjoy the peacefulness of nature, discover the Park flora mainly consisting of shrubby willows or white willows, black alders, chestnut trees, sessile oaks, hop hornbeams, or meet characteristic animals of the river environment, like the coot, the swan, the moorhen, or the kingfisher.
But the tours you can carry out within Adda Nord Park are not only rich in naturalistic features: in the Park Municipalities there are prestigious monuments and also along the river it is possible to observe some of them, like the hydroelectric power plants, the bridges, the channels of Naviglio, and works of hydraulic engineering planned by Leonardo da Vinci.
As a matter of fact, the Park territory includes the Ecomuseum "Adda di Leonardo", an outdoor museum involving ten Municipalities (Imbersago, Villa d'Adda, Robbiate, Paderno d'Adda, Cornate d'Adda, Trezzo sull'Adda, Vaprio d'Adda, Canonica d'Adda, Fara Gera d'Adda, Cassano d'Adda) whose territory preserves the traces of Leonardo's genius.
