With this volume, an excerpt of a more complete work dedicated to the MaB network and the Biosphere Reserves of Campania (La "Rete" MAB nel Mediterraneo - Parchi Nazionali del Cilento e Vallo di Diano e del Vesuvio), we would like to present some of the features of the Park environmental heritage and some aspects of this Land that has enchanted Men and Gods, that has transformed popular heros into brigands, that forced entire generations to migrate, that still evokes primitive sensations, forgotten feelings, and that generates unusual contrasts and harmonies in all of us, in all those who, even for only one day, cross it.
