Descending into the gorge of stream Sammaro is like entering the depths of the earth where not fire, but clear and fresh water springs, smoothing the calcareous stones of the bottom and making them clean and slippery. The wild beauty of the setting offers unique sensations.
Unique is also the charm of Roscigno Vecchio ghost town: the town was abandoned about one century ago, but today it is reviving thanks to the interest shown by the population of Cilento for their roots and their culture, whose evidences are preserved in the little Ethnographic Museum which has been set up in the town, in the square in front of the church, the stone circular town, and the whole village, which looks like a big stage waiting for whom can give it life again, also for one hour only.
