The otter, the undisputed queen of the rivers, has found a warm welcome in the rivers of the Park and particularly in river Calore. The latter, for its beauty and the charm of the places it crosses, is the Prince of the Park.
Between the towns of Felitto and Magliano Nuovo, it reaches the apex of its beauty. Here river Calore enters rocky walls, slopes directly ending in the river bed as if they wanted to imprison it and the turbulent flowing of its waters has dug into the rock over thousands of years many "works of art": giants' kettles, limestone pavements, lateral basins. And "Mother Nature", still not happy with such beauty, has completed its job with a thick vegetation that, during the year, enriches it with many colors. The ancient local people left indelible traces of their passage: the two wonderful medieval hump-back bridges.
