Along the road surrounding Alburni Mountains, between the towns of Ottati and Sant'Angelo a Fasanella, walk along the spectacular reappearing spring of Auso, on the right, collecting and draining the subterranean waters coming from the whole central section of the mountain massif. Take a narrow road at Sant'Angelo a Fasanella leading to the homonymous torrent and you will reach the beginning of the trail, where the wild beauty of nature has been completed by the work of man. Crossing a characteristic hump-back stone bridge, you will get to the Old Mill, supplied by the waters of Auso, which provided energy to move the turbine of the old hydroelectric power plant.
They are both characteristic examples of industrial archaeology. Besides the reappearing spring of Auso, on its orographic left and at about the same altitude, there is the reappearing spring of Festola, draining from Auso and active only thanks to some important meteoric events.
