Study Center for the Ecological Networks

Pettorano sul Gizio Municipal Administration and the Head Offices of the Nature Reserve opened in 2007 the Study Center for the Ecological Networks in order to better enhance the fact that the protected area represents an important part of the Ecological Network, not only at a regional, but also at a national level. As a matter of fact, given its strategic position between Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park and Majella National Park, Monte Genzana Alto Gizio Nature Reserve has been established with the main aim to preserve a passage area for very important species like the Brown Bear and the Wolf.
