The Botanic Gardens are situated in the area surrounding the building of the Naturalistic Museum of the Flower, and develop on two areas separated by the old connection road between Torre Alfina and Acquapendente. The south exposure and the presence in the area of two springs make this site adequate to the aim it has been given. It extends on a total surface of about one hectare. The aim of the Botanic Gardens is to preserve, research, teach, protect, and explore. The Botanic Gardens work as a very important support to the museum, with the aim to promote environmental didactics.
The routes are accessible to anyone, also to disabled people, and develop across the garden by giving the opportunity, with the help of qualified Guides, to smell flowers and herbs, to touch barks, leaves, or even the local rocks and soils.
The visitor will have the opportunity to feel emotions and carry with him a particular memory of the area.
