| Immediately in the south of Mt. Viglio, almost working as a link between Monti Simbruini, Monti Cantari and Monti Ernici, there is Zompo lo Schioppo Nature Reserve. Extending itself for 1,025 ha, it is entirely situated in the territory of the Municipality of Morino. The difference in height characterizing it is considerable: from 660 m to 2,000 m in the highest peaks along the upper limit of the Reserve running along the regional border with Lazio. |
