Walking along river Tagliamento and crossing the ancient pinewood, along an easy trail you will follow the "traces of ancient times", until you will reach Col di Zuca representing today an archaeological site of great interest, since here the traces of a human settlement dating back to the paleochristian age have been found.
The most ancient historical finds in the territory of Villa Santina date back to the first century AD. Moreover, the archaeological excavations carried out on Colle Santino in the 1960s brought back to light the castle of Ibligine, dating back to the Lombard period, which has been covered again.
