Although deeply renovated, Villa Santina town center has preserved interesting architectural features of the 17th, 18th, and 20th century. These buildings highlight the evolution of the minor architecture of Carnia in these two centuries and cannot be referred to one only building type.
The different uses of the buildings, linked to agricultural activities at first and then linked to the new trade activities have led to different features in the buildings. The 20th century complex of the railway station is very interesting.
