The wine production in the Breg valley has very ancient origins, in fact there have been information about it since 1271, and over the centuries it has been a source of income for the farmers of the area around Dolina. In the early 19th century the grapevine cultivation in Breg has occupied a large part of the home economics. The cultivation of the fields, and in particular of the grapevine, represents the only activity of people. Most of the common fields in Breg were cultivated with grapevine, especially the slopes, because the flat areas were cultivated with wheat. In the Municipality of Dolina, thanks to the favorable location of the fields, to the grapevine quality, to the soil properties and to the warm climate, the wine is of excellent quality.
